A child of the Cycle of Noon, Aglovan was born 15 years after the advent of the Sylvari race, magical plant-like humanoids born from the boughs of the Pale Tree. With an unusual fascination for all things mechanical that bloomed mere weeks after his breach from the dream, Aglovan has long since been a peculiarity even amongst Sylvari. Carrying the smell of machine oil and gunpowder compared to the floral and woodsy scents of his brothers and sisters, he's almost always tinkering with something- and if he cannot, he's likely thinking about doing so. A member of the militaristic Vigil who joined shortly after it's inception under two decades ago, he prides himself on being a marksman and also an unfortunate victim of a large number of incident reports relating to explosive experiments.
After serving with the Pact for a number of years, the reopening of Cantha's heavily shuttered borders had him handing in his first request for leave, to which he's spent the time since buried neck-deep in as much Jade Tech as he can get his wooden hands on.

appearance
Basically a sentient plant, Aglovan's skin is purple and bark-like, rough in some places (elbows, knees, shoulders) and smooth in others (the hands, fingers, chest-). He glows with a magenta luminescence at night. His ears are jutting pine-cone like pieces of bark, and his hair is thick purple vines in a sort of sidecut, dotted with sharp thorns. Extremely tall, with a frame that has no 'normal' muscle yet mimics the shape of someone more athletic. Preferring clothes of the leather variety with metal bits and bobs and a panscopic monocle adorning his left eye, the only normal sylvari attire is his leafy shoulder adornments. Missing his right arm, which is replaced with a jade-tech prosthetic with a red glow.
